Cannabis Flower

Skywalker OG, Blue Zushimi, Cereal Milk, and Black Mamba are in the Normandie Avenue rotation, and you can buy as little as a gram.

Ready-made singles and multi-packs sit on this shelf, and empty cones sit with them, though a cone is paper only, for filling with flower you pick yourself.

An infused roll packs concentrate in with the flower and usually carries more THC than a standard one.

Vapes and Cartridges

The question to settle first is whether you already own a battery. If you do, a standalone cartridge screws onto it. If you don't, go with an All-in-One, which has its own charged battery.

Edibles

Read the milligrams per piece, not the number on the front of the pack. A 100mg package split ten ways is ten servings, which is exactly where California sets the limits: 10mg a serving, 100mg a package.

Onset is slow, up to two hours, so wait it out before a second piece.

Topicals and Tinctures

Topicals stay on the skin; tinctures don't. Balms, lotions, and patches come in different cannabinoid ratios, and not all of them are CBD-only or non-intoxicating.

A tincture is measured by the dropperful, then placed under the tongue or stirred into a beverage.

Buying Cannabis Legally in California

Proposition 64 made recreational cannabis legal in California, building on medical access that began in 1996; licensed shops started recreational sales in 2018.

On Normandie Avenue, that means:

• Adults 21 and over need only government photo ID for recreational cannabis. At 18 or older, medicinal purchases run on a physician's recommendation; the county MMIC card is optional.

• Recreational customers can buy an ounce of flower each day, that's 28.5 grams, along with 8 grams of concentrate. Medicinal patients with a recommendation can go to 8 ounces, or beyond that if their physician writes it.

• There's no residency check for recreational buyers, so tourists shop under the same rules. For medicinal, the recommendation has to come from a physician licensed in the state.

• Private property is the only legal place to consume; parks, sidewalks, and streets are off-limits, and no purchase may be carried across state lines.
