About This Location

Catalyst on Florida Avenue

Florida Avenue is Highway 74. West of here it runs flat through Hemet and out toward Winchester. East of here it starts climbing into the San Jacinto Mountains.

The store sits on the eastern end of the flat part, at Columbia, where the valley road meets the start of the climb.

Weed for the People is how we price. Tax is already included, so what you see is what you pay, and a Cat 4 sticker means that product cleared our own pesticide panel, wider than the state requires.

The Neighborhood

Florida Avenue is Highway 74, and it runs east-west through Hemet and the San Jacinto Valley. The store sits on the eastern end of it, at Columbia, which puts it closer to Valle Vista than to downtown.

Downtown Hemet is a mile and a half west, with the Hemet Valley Mall about three miles beyond. The Ramona Bowl is under two miles south, where the Ramona Pageant has run since 1923.

North of here, San Jacinto is two and a half miles and Soboba Casino Resort about three. Diamond Valley Lake sits five and a half miles southwest.

Continue east on Highway 74 into the San Jacinto Mountains. At Mountain Center, Highway 243 turns north toward Idyllwild.

What We Carry

Six categories on the Florida Avenue floor. Here's what's in each and what to ask for.

Cannabis Flower

Blue Zushimi, Black Mamba, Cereal Milk, and Royal OG all rotate through the Florida Avenue wall, sold by weight from a gram upwards.

Astronauts, Coastal Sun, and Blem are the cultivators stocked. If you're choosing between two jars, ask about the packaging date alongside the potency figure.

Browse the flower menu.

Pre-Rolls

Hemet keeps finished pre-rolls and empty cones in the same part of the store, but they're different products. Singles and multi-packs are ready-made; empty cones are just the paper shell for packing your own flower.

Infused pre-rolls add concentrate and are typically more potent than standard flower-only rolls. Jeeter, Coastal Sun, and Astronauts cover both, and a Cat 4 house single runs $5, or $4 while the 20% house-brand hookup is on.

See the pre-roll menu.

Vapes and Cartridges

Buying a cartridge means buying oil on its own, which then needs a compatible battery. Buying an All-in-One means buying both together, charged and sealed.

Plugplay, Halfpipe, MJuice, and our own Cat 4 line are all in the Hemet case, the last of those at $19.50 a gram cartridge and $23 an All-in-One before the house-brand discount.

See the vape menu.

Concentrates

Start with the hardware. If you already have a rig, an e-rig, or a concentrate-compatible pen, tell the budtender which one before comparing products.

Budder, shatter, and crumble describe consistency, not quality. Weed For Warriors, Astronauts, and the Catalyst line cover most of the case.

See the concentrate menu.

Edibles

With edibles, read milligrams per piece rather than the pack total. Ten pieces at 10mg is ten servings, and California caps adult-use edibles at 10mg THC per serving and 100mg per package.

Onset runs slow, up to two hours according to California's own warning label, so give the first piece time to work. Drops, Wyld, Punch Edibles, and Dr. Norm's are stocked.

See the edibles menu.

Topicals and Tinctures

Topicals go on the skin as balms, lotions, and patches. Many are non-intoxicating, though formulations differ, so the label is worth checking.

Tinctures are liquid extracts with a marked dropper, taken under the tongue or stirred into a drink. Papa & Barkley, St. Ides, Beard Brothers, and VetCBD are the names here.

Buying Cannabis Legally in California

Medical use has been legal in California since 1996, and recreational use since voters approved Proposition 64. Licensed shops opened in 2018.

Here's how that reads at the Florida Avenue counter:

  • Recreational buyers need a government-issued photo ID showing 21 or over. Medicinal patients 18 and over need a physician's recommendation, with a county-issued MMIC accepted in its place, though never required.

  • A single day allows an ounce of flower, 28.5 grams, and 8 grams of concentrate. Medicinal patients can go up to 8 ounces, or beyond it where the recommendation sets a higher figure.

  • Residency is not a condition of buying recreational cannabis, and visitors face the same limits as locals. Medicinal purchases need a recommendation from a physician licensed in California.

  • Consumption is limited to private property. Streets, sidewalks, parks, and trailheads are all off limits, and cannabis can't be taken across state lines.

Dispensary in Cannabis Hemet FAQs

We can't wait to welcome you to our dispensary in Cannabis Hemet. As you plan your visit, here are a few helpful things to keep in mind.

41007 E Florida Ave, Hemet, CA 92544, at the Columbia Street intersection on the eastern end of Florida Avenue.

9am to 9:30pm, every day at the Florida Avenue store, holidays included unless we post otherwise.

Yes. Dedicated spaces sit in front of the Florida Avenue store, with security on site through opening hours.

Yes. The Florida Avenue store is wheelchair accessible.

Heading east on Highway 74, yes. Idyllwild is about thirteen miles up the mountain from here and has no dispensary of its own, so this is the last stop before the climb.

Recreational shoppers don't need one. Photo ID proving you're at least 21 covers it. An MMIC is required for medical purchases and for anyone aged 18 to 20, who can't enter without one.

Both. C10-0001020-LIC is an adult-use and medicinal retail license, and Hemet runs one floor for both.

The daily state cap is 28.5 grams of flower, an ounce, alongside 8 grams of concentrate. Medical patients holding a current MMIC can buy up to 8 ounces of flower.

Debit cards and cash, with an ATM on the Hemet floor if you need one. We do not take credit cards.

No. Florida Avenue is counter service plus online collection. Catalyst operates no delivery in any county and ships nothing.

There is. Ten percent comes off a first purchase at Hemet, with ID showing 21 or over.

Yes. Every purchase adds points through the Catalyst Rewards Club, which unlocks member pricing and early event access. Signing up is free at the Florida Avenue counter or online.

ID showing you're 21 or over and a way to pay that isn't credit. Medical shoppers aged 18 to 20 need their MMIC too.

The Florida Avenue shelves carry Astronauts, Coastal Sun, Blem, Jeeter, Plugplay, Halfpipe, MJuice, Weed For Warriors, Drops, Wyld, Punch Edibles, Dr. Norm's, Papa & Barkley, St. Ides, Beard Brothers, and VetCBD, alongside our own Cat 4 line.

An extra pesticide screen Catalyst runs beyond the state's own, built after chemicals turned up in products already cleared by legal testing. Brands opt in, passing products get a Cat 4 sticker in store, and failures leave the shelf whatever their sales.

We stock them on both shelves, high-CBD and low-THC, for adults 21+ after the format rather than the intoxication.

Yes, and it's the fastest way through the store. Build it on the online menu and collect at the Florida Avenue counter with ID.
