About This Location
Catalyst on Convoy Street
Catalyst has one store in San Diego County, and this is it. Hemet, 64.2 miles away, is the nearest sister location.
The store is on the second floor. Park on the ground level and take the elevator up.
Convoy Street pricing includes tax up front, and the register total matches the menu.
Cat 4 is our own pesticide standard, and it's stricter than California's. It came out of an investigation that found harmful chemicals in legal vapes the state's tests weren't built to catch.
The Neighborhood
Convoy Street is Kearny Mesa's north-south main drag, and its Convoy District is known for Asian restaurants and karaoke bars. The store is on the section closest to SR-52.
Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport is 1.7 miles south. San Diego Mesa College is 2.3 miles southwest, and Clairemont Town Square 3 miles west.

"Possibly my favorite dispo I've found since moving to San Diego they have good prices but the biggest thing for me was the customer service I'm horrible with names but the lady who helped me about a half hour ago was extremely knowledgeable and helped me get everything I needed within a few min. definitely will be going back." - Kendale Greenland. Google Review, April 2026.

What We Carry
Convoy Street's second-floor shelves, broken down.
Cannabis Flower
Flower is priced by weight, so compare the per-gram cost when you're choosing between a smaller size and a larger one.
Indica, sativa, and hybrid strains all sit on the wall, and the selection turns over with each delivery.
Pre-Rolls
The label tells you whether a pre-roll is flower-only or infused with concentrate, and that's worth checking first, since the infused kind is usually more potent.
Singles, multi-packs, and empty cones for packing your own flower all share the section.
Vapes and Cartridges
Start with the hardware you already have. If there's a compatible battery at home, a standalone cartridge makes sense; otherwise an All-in-One keeps the oil and battery in one ready-to-use unit.
At regular price, a Cat 4 cartridge is $19.50 a gram and the All-in-One is $23 a gram.
Concentrates
Concentrates make most sense if you already own the hardware to use them. Tell the budtender whether yours is a rig, an e-rig, or a pen, and the options narrow from there.
Budder, shatter, and crumble are names for texture. None of them ranks above another on quality.
Edibles
Every edible label shows THC per serving and per package. The legal maximums are 10mg per serving and 100mg per package.
Whether it's a gummy, a chocolate, a mint, or a baked good, the same caps apply. Don't judge an edible at the one-hour mark, since onset can take up to two hours.
Topicals and Tinctures
One goes on the outside, one goes in: topicals come as skin balms, lotions, and patches, and tinctures are dropper-measured doses for under the tongue or a drink.
Some are CBD-only and some carry THC, and the label is where you find out which.
Browse topicals and tinctures.

Buying Cannabis Legally in California
California legalized medical use in 1996. Recreational use came with Proposition 64 at the ballot box, and licensed stores started selling in 2018.
The short version for Convoy Street shoppers:
Photo ID from a government agency, showing age 21 or above, is required for recreational sales. Medicinal shoppers 18+ bring a valid physician's recommendation; an MMIC card works as well but isn't needed.
In one day, a recreational buyer can take up to 8 grams of concentrate and 28.5 grams of flower. Patients with a physician's recommendation are allowed 8 ounces of flower, or more if a higher figure is named.
Tourists can buy recreational cannabis here without proving residency, under the same limits as San Diegans. Medicinal sales need a California physician's recommendation.
Consume on private property only, following any rules the owner sets. Beaches, parks, and other public places are excluded, and cannabis can't be taken across a state line or into Mexico.
