About This Location
Catalyst on 4th Street East
The Antelope Valley sits north of the San Gabriel Mountains, separated from the Los Angeles Basin below. Lancaster is Catalyst's only store in the valley, with the next location more than 35 miles away in Van Nuys.
Flower, vapes, pre-rolls, concentrates, edibles, topicals, and tinctures are all under one roof at the southern end of town.
Weed for the People is how we price. Tax is already included, so what you see is what you pay, and a Cat 4 sticker means that product cleared our own pesticide panel, wider than the state requires.
The Neighborhood

What We Carry
Six categories on the 4th Street floor. Here's what's in each and what to ask for.
Cannabis Flower
Flower sells by weight at 4th Street, from a single gram upwards.
Blue Zushimi, Black Mamba, Royal OG, and Skywalker OG rotate through the wall here, with Astronauts, Coastal Sun, and Smoken Promises among the cultivators.
Pre-Rolls
Two things share this shelf. Finished pre-rolls come as singles and multi-packs, ready to smoke; empty cones are the paper on its own, for packing with flower you buy separately.
Among the finished ones, infused versions have concentrate worked into the flower and are typically more potent than standard rolls. Cizi, California Love, and Astronauts cover the range, and a Cat 4 house single runs $5, or $4 on the house-brand hookup.
Vapes and Cartridges
Vapes outsell every other category Catalyst stocks. Before flavor, settle the format: a standalone cartridge needs a battery you already own, while an All-in-One arrives charged with one built in.
Plugplay, Halfpipe, Blem, and our own Cat 4 line are all in the Lancaster case. Keep whichever you buy upright and out of a hot car, because desert heat thins the oil and thin oil is what leaks past the seals.
Concentrates
Concentrates are the strongest thing on the 4th Street floor, made by isolating the plant's trichomes and pressing them together. Budder, shatter, and crumble name the texture, not the grade.
You'll need a rig or a dab pen for any of it, so mention it at the counter if you don't own either. Astronauts, Wvy, and the Catalyst line cover most of the case.
Edibles
Edibles are the smoke-free option on the Lancaster shelf, and the number worth reading is milligrams per piece, not per pack.
Onset runs slow, up to two hours, which is long enough that people assume nothing is happening and take a second. Drops, Wyld, Punch Edibles, and Whoa are stocked here.
Topicals and Tinctures
Not everything in here is meant to get you high. The topicals shelf holds balms, lotions, and patches for the skin, and non-intoxicating options are common, though it varies by product.
Tinctures come in a dropper bottle, marked so you can measure before taking a dose under the tongue or in a drink. Papa & Barkley and Buddies are the names here.

Buying Cannabis Legally in California
Medical cannabis has been legal here since 1996. Recreational use came in with Proposition 64, and the first licensed shops opened in 2018.
At the 4th Street counter, the rules run like this:
Anyone 21 or over buys recreational cannabis on a government-issued photo ID. Medicinal patients from 18 need a physician's recommendation, and a county-issued MMIC is accepted in its place though never required.
A day's limit is an ounce of flower, 28.5 grams, alongside 8 grams of concentrate. Medicinal patients can go to 8 ounces, and higher still where the recommendation says so.
Nobody has to be a California resident to buy recreational cannabis, and visitors face the same limits as locals. Medicinal purchases need a recommendation from a physician licensed in California.
Consumption is limited to private property. Streets, sidewalks, parks, and desert trailheads are all off limits, and cannabis can't be taken across state lines.
The rest is covered in our guides to California cannabis laws and how to purchase weed in California.

The 4th Street shelves carry Astronauts, Coastal Sun, Smoken Promises, Cizi, California Love, On format: a standalone cartridge needs a compatible battery you already own, while an All-in-One arrives charged with one built in. Plugplay, Halfpipe, Blem, Wvy, Drops, Wyld, Punch Edibles, Whoa, Papa & Barkley, and Buddies, alongside our own Cat 4 line.
Catalyst's own pesticide panel, broader than California's required one, built after chemicals showed up in products that had already passed California-required compliance testing. Brands submit voluntarily, anything passing carries a Cat 4 sticker in store, and failures come off the wall regardless of how well they sold.
We stock them on both shelves, high-CBD and low-THC, for adults 21+ after the format rather than the intoxication.
