The store sits just south of Five Points, with its own lot rather than a shared strip row. Small thing until you've circled a block twice looking for a space.
Weed for the People is how we price. Tax is already included, so what you see is what you pay, and a Cat 4 sticker means that product cleared our own pesticide panel, wider than the state requires.
The Neighborhood
Valley Boulevard runs east to west across El Monte, and the store sits on it close to where Interstate 10 and Interstate 605 cross. That interchange is what makes this a San Gabriel Valley store rather than just an El Monte one.
Downtown El Monte and the Civic Center are about 1.1 miles northwest, with the El Monte Historical Museum just beyond at 1.2. El Monte Transit Center, one of the largest bus hubs in the region, is 1.8 miles the same way.
Head south and Whittier Narrows Recreation Area is about three miles, with Legg Lake inside it. North, San Gabriel Valley Airport is two miles and Peck Road Water Conservation Park about 2.8 miles.
Past the city line, the store serves South El Monte, Rosemead, Temple City, Baldwin Park, West Covina, and City of Industry.

What We Carry

Cannabis Flower
Flower is sold by weight, and the words matter more than the numbers when you're new to it. An eighth is 3.5 grams, a quarter is 7, and a half is 14.
Cereal Milk, Cherry Zlushie, and Grape Gas rotate through the Valley Boulevard wall, with Coastal Sun, Cizi, and Sluggers among the cultivators.
Pre-Rolls
El Monte offers pre-rolls in singles and multi-packs.
Infused pre-rolls have concentrate worked into the flower before rolling, so they're typically more potent than standard ones. Buy a single before you buy a pack.
Vapes and Cartridges
The El Monte case carries standalone cartridges and All-in-Ones that arrive charged. A cartridge needs a compatible battery of your own; an All-in-One doesn't.

Concentrates
Concentrates pack a lot into a small jar, so don't buy by size alone. Badder, shatter, and crumble describe consistency rather than quality, and potency is printed on the package.
If you're trying a concentrate you haven't bought before, choose the smaller available jar before committing to more. All of it needs a rig or a dab pen.
Edibles
With edibles, pack size is the thing to read. A 100mg pack split ten ways is ten servings, not one, and California caps adult-use edibles at 10mg THC per serving and 100mg per package.
Onset is slow, up to two hours according to California's own warning label, so give the first one time to work.
Topicals and Tinctures
The El Monte topical shelf includes balms, lotions, and patches applied to the skin. Many are non-intoxicating, but check the label or ask a budtender, because formulations differ.
Tinctures are liquid extracts rather than something you smoke or eat. Check the concentration on the bottle, use the dropper's measurement marks, and take them under the tongue or add them to a drink. Papa & Barkley and Buddies are stocked.

Buying Cannabis Legally in California
1996 brought legal medical cannabis to California. Recreational cannabis followed when voters passed Proposition 64, and licensed sales began in 2018.
On Valley Boulevard, here's what that means:
Recreational purchases need valid government-issued photo ID showing 21 or over. Medicinal patients aged 18 or older need a physician's recommendation. A county-issued MMIC is accepted in its place, but it isn't required.
Daily limits are 28.5 grams of flower, an ounce, and 8 grams of concentrate. For medicinal patients the figure rises to 8 ounces, or higher still if the recommendation states it.
Recreational buyers needn't be California residents, and locals and visitors buy under one set of limits. Medicinal buyers need a recommendation issued by a California-licensed physician.
Consume privately. Public streets, sidewalks, and parks are excluded, and nothing purchased here may leave the state.
