For a quirky afternoon out, go see the complete history of America’s most famous burger joint at 1398 N E St, San Bernardino. This is actually the location of the first ever McDonald’s store which they’ve converted into a quirky little museum. They have tons of exhibits about the history of the franchise. I had my doubts when I first went here because really how much time can you spend looking at old McDonald’s merch but apparently the answer is several hours if you’re a stoned little goofball such as I.
There’s all kinds of old timey coke products, McDonald’s gear, a full replica of the Mystery Machine van outside for some unknown reason and a whole plethora of other thingamabobs, whositswhatsits, gizmos, gadgets, bits, bobs and any other whimsical thing you can think of. It’s one of those places you’d never think to go visit until you go and you think “well damn that was actually one heck of a good time.”
You get bonus points if you stop by the Catalyst San Bernardino dispensary first and load up on fresh cannabis flower or vapes or whatever you’re into. Personally I’d recommend some of the new CAM flavors because my God they do good work over there.
