Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve – Lancaster

Located in the Mojave Desert at 15101 Lancaster Rd, this state nature reserve is home to beautiful hikes and from March to May it has gorgeous poppy fields as far as the eye can see. This is the kind of solitude that’s hard to come by in Southern California and it’s not as far east as you might think.

It’s conveniently located and super secluded so you can sesh with impunity and enjoy these sprawling fields of flowers like nothing you’ve ever seen before. If you feel a little trapped by the buildings and concrete jungle you should take the time to drive out here. Stop by the Catalyst Lancaster Dispensary first so we can get you right but then take the trip out to the Mojave and see for yourself just how spectacular thousands and thousands of California poppies are when they’re right in front of you, live and in person.

Just remember to bring lots of water, it is a desert after all and since I can only assure you’ll be smoking weed while you hike, you’ll need a proper antidote to the plague of cotton mouth that will befall you before too long.
