Yamato serves sushi and traditional Japanese cuisine just a few blocks up from Catalyst Cannabis Dispensary Grover Beach at 1741 W Grand Ave. Try their Grover Beach roll! It’s shrimp tempura, crab meat, avocado, cucumber and shin sauce, wrapped in iceberg lettuce. It’s just fantastic and it’s got me hankering for sushi just typing this. They’ve also got all the other classics you expect from a sushi spot not to mention all kinds of in-house specialties.
You can’t go wrong here, and that’s coming from a guy who holds seafood in very high regard. You can’t eat like this in the Midwest. You need fresh, locally sourced seafood crafted by people who know what they’re doing and that is exactly what you will find at Yamato. The last time I went there I got so wrecked on 710 Labs hash I spent my whole paycheck on fancy fish before I even realized what happened. Not to say it’s overly expensive, I am simply irresponsible when it comes to good seafood.
On that note, I will be heading down there right now because talking about it has made me too hungry to bear and I shan’t waste any more time typing about it.
